Candle Care

CARING FOR YOUR CANDLE CAN BE CRUCIAL TO GETTING THE MOST OUT OF IT! IT'S NOTHING CRAZY, JUST A FEW SIMPLE THINGS TO GO BY AND YOUR CANDLE IS GOOD TO GO.

-Trimming the wick of a candle is super important. Upon receiving your candle, ensure that the wick is 1/4 inch above the wax for the best burn.

-Ready to light your new candle? Awesome! When lighting your candle, make sure that you are lighting the whole length of the wick and not just a corner. This can cause your candle to burn uneven.

-Once the candle is lit, please never leave it unattended and never burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

-If it is the first time burning the candle, allow the candle to reach a full a melt pool all the way to the edges of the glass. This usually takes an hour to achieve.

-Ready to blow the candle out? Blow it out as you normally would and avoid putting the lid on the candle until the smoke is completely out. If you put the lid on while the wick is still smoking, the melted wax will smell like smoke. I don't think we want that!

-When going to relight your candle, repeat these instructions for getting the most use out of your candle.

Tips:

Having trouble cutting the wick for the first time? Use fingernail clippers! They work wonders.

When trimming the wick after every use, just take away the top, burnt black pieces of the wick with your fingers and discard the pieces you broke off.

Don't put the burnt wick in the wax and burn it, this will cause the wax to turn a brown/black color.
